Six-day immersive training

Bring together clinical education, experiential psilocybin work, practitioner practicum and meaningful peer connection — in a setting designed to give you space to step outside the pace of clinical practice and experience the field from the inside.

Afterlight — a private oceanfront setting in Negril, Jamaica

Six Days Away From the Noise

Step away from the pace of practice.

Away from the clinical hour, the documentation, the responsibility of holding space for everyone else.

For six days, come somewhere you can learn, experience, reflect and connect — alongside practitioners asking the same questions about where mental healthcare is heading.

Learn

Science. Clinical practice. New perspectives.

Learn alongside researchers and clinicians working at the frontier of psychedelic-assisted care.

Experience

See the work from the inside.

Experience supported psilocybin work from both the participant and practitioner perspective.

Reflect

Space to think beyond the clinical hour.

Step away from the pace of practice and reconnect with curiosity, your own development and the questions that brought you into this work.

Connect

A room full of people asking better questions.

Build meaningful relationships with practitioners exploring what comes next in mental healthcare.

Your Journey

  1. 1Day 1

    Arrival & Welcome

Arrive in Negril and settle into your private oceanfront setting. Meet the Afterlight team and fellow practitioners, establish your intentions and begin creating the space for the days ahead. The Science & Experience of Psilocybin with Professor David Luke. End the day with a welcome dinner overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

  2. 2Day 2

    Preparation & Low-Dose

Explore the foundations of safe psychedelic practice — preparation, set and setting, safety, somatic anchors and consent. Begin experiencing the work yourself through a guided Low-Dose Group Session.

  3. 3Day 3

    Primary Dosing Experience

The centrepiece of the retreat. Following reflective preparation and intention-setting, enter the Main Dosing Experience within a clinically supported framework. Experience psychedelic-assisted therapy from the participant perspective — allowing you to understand the experience not only intellectually, but from the inside.

  4. 4Day 4

    Clinical Education & Practitioner Practicum

Explore the clinical realities of psychedelic care with Safety & Psychiatry of Psychedelics with Dr Winston De La Haye. Examine contraindications, adverse events, medication interactions and clinical safety. Then move into the Experiential Practitioner Practicum — exploring therapeutic presence, facilitation and practitioner experience through supervised learning and group discussion.

  5. 5Day 5

    Integration & Connection

Begin making sense of your experience through an Integration Circle. Choose between a private clinical or practitioner 1:1 session for further reflection and support. Then leave the villa behind for a private ocean excursion to Booby Cay Island — creating space for conversation, reflection and connection beyond the formal programme.

  6. 6Day 6

    Closing & Departure

Bring the experience together. Reflect on what you have learned, what you experienced and what it may mean for your work. Consider how you will carry the learning forward into your clinical practice, and leave with a deeper understanding of yourself, the field and the people alongside you.

Practitioner Sharing

Your Work Belongs in the Room

You’re not only here to learn. You have something to bring.

Each practitioner will have the opportunity to share a short presentation on an area of their clinical work, research, or specialist practice — from insights into IFS, EMDR, and somatic approaches to relational therapy or any other emerging areas of practice.

A chance to share what you know, learn from how others work, and connect with practitioners who may want to take the conversation further.

The Experience Is Yours. The Learning Comes Home With You.

You leave with more than a certificate or a collection of lectures.

You leave having experienced the work from the inside.

With new clinical perspectives. A deeper understanding of psychedelic-assisted care. A clearer sense of what this work asks of practitioners. And relationships with people who are asking many of the same questions you are.

The Setting
